In the week that has seen Article 50 triggering the Brexit process, EEF the manufacturers' organisation has issued a stark warning that should the UK walk away with no preferential access to the EU or international markets in place, it would find itself at a loss, with the manufacturing sector bearing much of the brunt.

Of course, at this stage no one really knows how the negotiations will pan out, but there is no doubt that for many, Theresa May's bullish pronouncements of a 'hard' Brexit are doing little to allay fears about the economic outcome as the UK continues to navigate this period of uncertainty.

Manufacturers reject 'no deal' Brexit as lose-lose scenario for UK & EU
