The latest report from the International Federation of Robotics predicts that by 2020 more than 1.7 million new industrial robots will be installed in factories around the world, with an increase in overall numbers of operational industrial robots from about 1,828,000 units at the end of 2016 to 3,053,000 units expected.

You can find out more from the report in the first story, right. However, don't expect to read about industrial robots here in the UK - the level of investment is so woefully low that the country doesn't even scrape into the top 15!
