If the UK industrial sector is to compete in the global market, there needs to be a step change in education and training, with much more emphasis on STEM subjects going forwards. It is great news then, that plans for a 'new model' university, based in Milton Keynes are developing, with Cranfield University having been announced as the lead higher education provider.
