BSAFE is a multidisciplinary travelling team that specialises in
H&SEW management at professional sports and mass
participation events. It continuously defines innovative
strategies to help strengthen its clients’ ability to manage
safety, ensure immediate action and establish a
comprehensive safety culture among stakeholders.
Compass Group UK Healthcare
The team, supported by HSE Champions, is key to
achievements in safety by the Compass Group.. The team is
actively involved in developing systems to support
operational teams and thus creating a positive safety culture.
As a result, LTIs have decreased by 58% in four years, and by
20% last year. The team’s passion and enthusiasm continues
to engage colleagues throughout the company.
Galdris Construction Ltd
The HSQE team comprises three health and safety advisors,
overseen by a director, with responsibility for H&S
management. A quality and environmental manager carries
out site monitoring and manages the OHSAS 18001 system,
while a H&S administrator coordinates training. The team has
a huge influence on the workforce’s well-being and the

Hunter Safety Solutions
Katie Hunter founded Hunter Safety Solutions after working as
a group safety manager at one of the UK’s biggest food
manufacturing companies. She has since been joined by
operations directors Kirsty Carroll and Bernie Lanaghan. The
team has engaged with all stakeholders to achieve the
successful delivery of complex construction projects.
Thanks to the time, effort, communication skills and
commitment shown by the individuals within the SHEQ team
at Incentive FM, the health and safety culture at the company
has improved immensely. The team operates very effectively
as a unit, growing in strength and improving all the time.
O’Donovan Waste Disposal Ltd
O’Donovan Waste Disposal’s health and safety team leads by
example when it comes to health and safety and well-being
excellence. It consistently seeks opportunities to improve team
knowledge and understanding, and embraces innovation and
investment to achieve the highest standards. Because of their
efforts, the company’s commitment to investing in best
practice and training is now ingrained in its ethos.

The team consists of the Neonatal Unit risk lead Sister
Marianne White, maternity risk manager Karen Cutler and her
deputy, Jill Chatten, clinical leader. The Trust cannot
